WHY STUDY THE UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE?
According to the Constitution of Ukraine, Ukrainian is the only official language in the country. In 2019, the Parliament of Ukraine adopted the Law on Language, which obliges the use of the Ukrainian language throughout Ukraine in every sphere of social life: education and health, labor relations and consumer services, as well as in public events, advertising and other areas.
Knowledge of the Ukrainian language gives you access to the works of brilliant Ukrainian writers, poets, musicians, the largest number of songs among all the peoples, it will let you understand better the interesting history of this country and the mentality of its wonderful inhabitants.

UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE EXAM FOR FOREIGNERS

Currently in Ukraine there are two options for passing Ukrainian language exams - from UCEQA (Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment) and NCSOL (National Commission for State Language Standards)
Price: For the citizens of Ukraine, the exam of the level of proficiency in the official language is free. For people who intend to acquire the citizenship of Ukraine, the amount of payment for taking the exam is 492 hryvnias.

The test will cover four types of speech activity: reading, speaking, listening and writing. The tasks will be designed in such a way that from the lowest level A1 to the level B2 each candidate can demonstrate proficiency in the Ukrainian language.

The exam for the level of proficiency in the state language (for acquiring Ukrainian citizenship) involves performing tasks of various types in order to determine the communicative skills of the applicant in all types of speech activities: "Listening", "Reading", "Writing", "Speaking". To acquire citizenship, the applicant must demonstrate the ability to communicate in everyday situations, understand the main content of the message read or heard, the ability to write a simple text in accordance with the communicative purpose.
